I came across this design group on another blog I was browsing, and really loved it. A group of sisters, two designers and one, a photographer. The rustic and organic qualities in their work are what really interested me, for example the neutral colours that they use, especially in the crochet products. Their work also relates to my concept I'm trying to explore in this current project. The way they use the technique of crochet to wrap something and create a decorative element, is similar to my technique of building and wrapping with cotton thread around cocoon shapes. This simplistic quaint style is definitely something that becomes involved throughout my work, and the qualities of minimalism are always apparent in my work.
